Donnie is a professional artist and musician from the mountains of West Virginia. He currently plays in an Americana/Bluegrass band called Two Ton Twig, and is happiest jamming with friends around a campfire. He began his musical journey with the saxophone in elementary school, before moving to piano, then the guitar. Mostly self-taught on guitar, he expanded to other stringed instruments including mandolin, ukulele, bass, and a little bit of banjo.
I've spent the past three years in the Arlington Public Schools system as a substitute teacher. For the past two, I've specialized in the music and art programs. I can capture the attention of, and manage a class full of elementary and high school students. I understand that patience and persistence are required for both the student and the teacher.
