From the ages of 12-15 I took guitar lessons from a guitarist named Rich Barry. I was also involved in the school concert, symphonic, and wind ensemble bands in middle school as well as the marching band in high school. I graduated Frostburg State University with a degree in guitar performance and I have performed for the Residence Inn at Largo as well as for school events at Frostburg. I have experience helping new guitarists with chord and note fingerings and music interpretation. I also have experience teaching basic ukulele chords to friends and family.
Back in college, I used to volunteer at the local elementary school, where I would look after kids, ranging from kindergarten to 5th grade, during their extended day program. I would facilitate indoor and outdoor playtime and snack time. I also used to look after my nephew and cousins when they would visit my family back when they were infants. I used to talk to them and play with them and sometimes play songs for them on my guitar or ukulele and let them play on my instruments too.

I used to belong to a club called Best buddies back in college. In that club, we were each paired with a special needs person and hung out with them and did activities together like watched movies, bowling, and arts and crafts.
I would not have made it through guitar ensemble without Corey's help. He was very helpful and patient with me when showing me how to read music for guitar despite the language barrier
Thanks to Corey, I was able to learn how to play and change chords on my ukulele. He taught me in a way that catered to how I learn.
