Why I Work Well with Kids

I enjoy the process learning what makes each student unique and then developing a curriculum based on what interests them. It's an extremely gratifying experience to help to give young students the tools they need to achieve their musical goals while developing within them a lifelong appreciation and love of music through positive experiences.

Most Influential Bands / Musicians

All the great jazz musicians, The Band, Steely Dan, Phish, Ravel, Brahms, Willie Colon, Cal Tjader, Tito Puente, etc. etc. etc.

Hobbies

playing pool, reading, hiking, cooking, seeing tons of live music.

Favorite Movies

I don't see too many but usually enjoy the ones that I see. Except for Whiplash.

Places Traveled

All over the United States, Portugal, the moon

Special Needs Students

I've worked with several special needs students over the past few years of private teaching. The greatest successes came when parents communicated good goals for the students and kept me informed of the best ways to work with them.
