The combination of Dr. Rozen’s teaching experience and abilities, plus his high level of musicianship and patience, have resulted in many satisfied and accomplished students.
My public school experience was primarily as an elementary level instrumental music specialist, so I gained a significant amount of experience in teaching young music students. In addition, I have taught privately for my entire career; I have encountered various types of students with various musical as well as personal issues and situations. I have had to therefore utilize various teaching approaches and techniques in being able to help each student improve on their instrument and to help them experience success in playing. Finally, being a parent of 2 sons helps to add an extra dimension and perception in my relationship and association with my students.
My teachers, in particular Edward Gobrecht, Donald Sinta, Mordechai Rechtman, Jane Taylor, and Bob Reynolds. Conductors Leonard Bernstein, Sir Georg Solti, Zubin Mehta.

He does an excellent job ascertaining the skill level and personality of the student. He is able to not only teach but inspire the student. During times of frustration, he logically walks the students through the task, using a scaffolding approach.
"I loved him!! Next lesson is May 3rd."
Dr. Rozen is wonderful, and we are delighted to have him filling in for Josh. He is a very professional, knowledgeable, and experienced teacher. I have noticed that Amelia is practicing more consistently, and it is fun to hear her working on new songs.
