Jazz, Rock, Blues, Pop, and some Classical
I was raised in Swampscott, MA, a small town outside of Boston, and I've performed in and around the Boston area. My jazz studies began early into high school, and I took weekend classes/lessons at the New England Conservatory. Playing in a trio during high school gave me a number of performance opportunities, including one gig at our Governors Inaugural Family Diner and VIP Reception. I studied Jazz and Broadcast Communications at North Central College in Naperville, Illinois during my Freshman year of College, then transferred to American University where I currently study Music and Film. During the summer, I work as a counselor at an overnight summer camp, and I have a great deal of experience working with kids.
This summer, I am taking on the role of Junior Boy's Unit Head at Camp Rotary, a co-ed overnight camp. I've been attending the camp since I was 9 years old, and now have the opportunity to give back to somewhere that positively impacted me during my childhood. This will be my 5th year on staff, and I've built great rapport with many campers over the years. Camp has made me a better leader and mentor, and I am able to use the skills I've learned there when I teach music lessons. Teaching with enthusiasm, patience, and genuine interest engages students to push their own limits. I have a good balance between having a fun energy and taking the content seriously, and I hope to pass that energy off to some students.

Luca definitely loves Austin. He is extremely good with children and is able to engage Luca and make the lesson fun. It appears that the content of the lesson is both meeting Luca's taste (jazz) and level
